Carole Heimann has been providing a variety of psychotherapy services since 1998. Her work experience and areas of treatment specialties include domestic violence, hospice and grief counseling, HIV/AIDS care, inpatient psychiatric treatment, inpatient eating disorders, PTSD and complex trauma, cognitive behavioral, EMDR treatment and animal assisted therapy.
Carole was born in Michigan, received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the University of Colorado – Colorado Springs in 1996 and her Master of Social Work from the University of Denver in 1998. Carole’s post-graduate training includes EMDR Levels I & II; Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT); Thought Field Therapy (TFT) and extensive training in the treatment of PTSD and trauma.
Carole’s husband, Chuck, is an Information Technology Analyst for the US Capitol Police. Together they raised two daughters, Lisa, who is a Peace Corps volunteer serving along with her husband currently in Panama, and Sandra, who lives in Phoenix. Carole enjoys spending time with her husband, their dogs and parrots as well as doing many crafts including knitting, weaving, spinning and basket weaving.
